Chicago Area Quicksilver is located at Cushing Field, on Route 71, 1.2 miles west of Newark, Illinois. Cushing Field makes an ideal training facility for several reasons. The main runway is 2,800 ft. long and 200 ft. wide, making it a real confidence builder for students practicing takeoffs and landings. Cushing Field is almost exclusively an ultralight airport, so you can fly in an environment virtually free of general aviation traffic.
